Troy police are investigating after gunshots in the city hit a CDTA bus.

Troy police say that they responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Second Avenue between 114th and 115th Streets early Saturday morning.

We’re told the bus sustained damage. Thankfully, the driver — who was the only person on the bus at the time — was not injured.

Police say that the suspect ran to a home on Second Avenue, but was arrested outside.

We’re told that the suspect has several outstanding arrest warrants and possessed a narcotic drug. Police say the suspect was charged for the active warrants and drug possession.

After detaining the suspect, police continued to investigate the scene and found a handgun at the residence. Police say they’re still investigating to see if the gun found was the same one used to shoot at the bus.
