Officers responded to a call on 4th Street near Congress Street Friday night.
We know there have been no injuries reported.
The suspect ran away before officers got to the scene, police said.
Police were there for about an hour, collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses.
We asked Troy police if there is a threat to the public.
“Unfortunately, it seems like a targeted incident between two groups of that are just acting incredibly reckless, with no regard for any sort of human life and no regard for these business owners and so we take that into account,” assistant Troy police chief Steven Barker said.
“If someone is recklessly firing a gun on the city of Troy streets, we are going to invest all the resources we have, in order to arrest that individual.”
As the investigation continues, we’ll keep you updated.
