Troy teen accused of having illegal gun

Troy police say they’ve taken an illegal gun off the streets, and now a teenager is facing charges.

Police spotted a car on 7th Avenue Thursday night that was reported stolen. When they tried to pull the car over, the driver took off and crashed.

Aaron Edmunds, 18, was arrested after a short foot chase.

Police say he had an illegal handgun on him.

He now faces several charges, including criminal possession of a weapon.
