Troy city workers say everyone’s water should be back on after a water main break in Troy on Thursday.

The water main break happened near Federal Street and Sixth Avenue.

The area flooded for a time. That’s mostly receded.

However, traffic delays in the area continued into the evening.

“That’s what happens in aging cities like ours. You have aging pipes, aging infrastructure and on a moment’s notice, you never know when a pipe is going to burst,” Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello said.

Repair crews were expected to be in the area into the night, according to the mayor.
