TSA: 20 guns seized at Upstate NY security checkpoints last year
A man from Troy was arrested, accused of having an illegal handgun, drugs, and more than $20,000 worth of cash.
Twenty handguns were stopped at security checkpoints in Upstate New York airports in 2023, with four of them found at Albany International Airport.
This is a decrease from the 23 guns caught in 2022, according to the TSA.
All of the weapons were found during the routine screening of carry-on property.
More than 6,700 guns were caught at airports across the nation.
