Two men accused of having stolen credit card information

Two people are facing charges for allegedly stealing credit card information.

State Police responded to the area of Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush last Wednesday for a report that a vehicle believed to be involved in past diesel fuel thefts was in the area.

The vehicle was located and stopped. Bronx resident Erick Jose Berroa, 26, was identified as the driver and 38-year-old Manuel E. Grullon Lopez, of South Richmond Hill, was identified as the passenger.

Berroa allegedly had more than two dozen gift cards containing what is believed to be stolen credit card information in his possession.  Another 15 gift cards were found in the vehicle, police said.

Berrora was charged with 41 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Lopez was charged with 15 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

They were arraigned in Schodack Town Court and released on their own recognizance.
