Two Schenectady men were found guilty Wednesday in the 2019 murder of a local man.

Clifford Charles Jr. and Leffon Adams were convicted of murder, attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in the killing of Roscoe Foster the early morning hours of Jan. 25, 2019.

Foster, a father of four, worked as a cook at a restaurant and was a marijuana dealer. Charles called him on the night of the murder on the pretext of buying marijuana, but actually planned to rob him, according to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office.

A fight broke out and a surveillance camera showed Charles firing two shots that killed Foster before fleeing. Adams provided Charles with the loaded gun before the robbery, prosecutors said.

Charles was arrested in August 2022 and Adams in December 2022.
