UAlbany is getting a big boost from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The school’s Department of Geography and Planning has been awarded $5 million.

The money will be used to improve Albany’s urban forest by planting more trees and greenery throughout the city.

Some of the money will also be used to establish The Center for Ecosystem-Based Climate Adaptation.

This center will teach new generations about the environment and what can be done to protect it.
