UConn’s Jackson returns to Albany for NCAA tourney

The long-awaited big reveal of the men’s NCAA tournament field – and the eight teams coming to Albany this week – happened Sunday night.

It will be a homecoming for Albany Academy graduate and UConn star Andre Jackson, Jr. His Huskies are playing well right now and they’re matched up against an intriguing opponent with a lot of national attention, known well to Siena fans. Iona head coach Rick Pitino has already been linked to the open St. John’s job, but he’ll first bring his team to MVP Arena for the Friday matchup with UConn.

For Jackson, he’s coming off a recent near-triple double in the big east tournament.

UConn has won nine of its last 11 games and is being picked by some experts to make a deep run in the big dance.
