The New York State Division of Professional and Court Services has awarded Vanderheyden $346,000.

That money is set to help the Rensselaer County Family Treatment Court.

Vanderheyden is an organization that offers a safe haven for people who have experienced family disruption or emotional or physical trauma.

Families who are referred to them by the treatment court will be teamed with a case manager who will work to identify goals and a visitation schedule.

This money will help them support vulnerable families, the organization’s CEO said.
