Albany County Executive Dan McCoy continued the tradition Thursday of honoring veterans.

A ceremony was held at Crossgates Mall in Guilderland.

Thomas Bellow, Margaret Mary Franklin and Brian Lawler were recognized for their service.

Bellow was a Marine corporal who served in the Vietnam War, Franklin served in the Navy Reserve as a ships Serviceman 3rd Class. Lawler served in the Marine Corps during the Global War on Terror.

This is the 18th ceremony of this kind since 2013.

Forty-nine brave men and women from the area have been honored during that time.
