Video provides new leads for stolen East Greenbush wedding ring

There’s a big new lead in finding the person who recently stole a woman's wedding ring in East Greenbush.

There’s a big new lead in finding the person who recently stole a woman’s wedding ring in East Greenbush.

Police are looking for a car of interest, officials announced.

Debbie Fleming recently dropped her ring in the Rensselaer County Building parking lot. She was on her way back to the office there.

She took off her ring in the car and placed it on her lap so she could use hand sanitizer – and forgot the ring was on her lap.

That’s when Fleming believes she dropped it: three rings — a wedding band, engagement ring and an anniversary band — soldered together.

Whenever property is found in New York state, especially high value item like a wedding ring, you must make the effort to return it.

Fleming went to the IT department in the building and was able to pull the security footage from the camera from the front door.

She just celebrated her 37th wedding anniversary with her husband – without her wedding rings.
