Voorheesville middle schooler under investigation for ‘troubling’ comment

The Voorheesville Central School District is investigating what they call a troubling remark made by a student at the middle school.

Principal Jennifer Drautz sent a message to parents on Tuesday. However, it did not elaborate on what the comment was.

Other middle schoolers came forward and reported the comment, the district said.

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and the student who allegedly made the comment is being held accountable according to the district’s code of conduct.

At no time were students or staff in danger, the district said.
