Voorheesville World War II veteran dies at 102

A local World War II veteran who helped liberate the people of France has died. Ken Bailey, who's from Voorheesville, took part in D-day back in 1944.

Ken Bailey, who’s from Voorheesville, took part in D-day back in 1944.

NewsChannel 13 has done multiple stories on Bailey over the years, including for his 100th birthday and when he was celebrated at the Saratoga Race Track this year for Military Appreciation Day.

He received a medal from France for his heroic actions during the war.

Bailey was 102-years-old.
