A Warren County woman who shot and injured her husband has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, after the judge rejected her attorney’s request for a lighter sentence.

The attorneys for Susan Bohmer claim she was a victim of domestic violence, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star reported.

Bohmer, 74, was arrested in 2021 for shooting her husband in the stomach at their house in Chester.

Raymond Bohmer had multiple bullet wounds and spent several days in the intensive care unit at Albany Medical Center, but survived.
