Warrensburg approves tax break for first responders

Warrensburg is now the latest municipality to give a tax break to first responders.

Volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers can apply for a 10% town property tax exemption under a new law unanimously passed by the Warrensburg Town Board Wednesday, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star report.

Several other towns and counties have done the same.

The goal is to help support recruitment and retention efforts.
