Waterford’s annual Canal Fest kicks off this weekend.

Every year, the event celebrates the opening of the New York State canal system.

There are tons of activities and vendors to check out along the canal.

You can take boat rides, do some shopping, grab lunch, and listen to live music.

There is a children’s fishing clinic with poles and bait provided.

The event runs through 6 p.m. Saturday, and reopens Sunday from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m.
