Watervliet brothers volunteer to help shovel out neighbors
Some kids who had a snow day wanted to sleep in and take it easy, but not the Lockrow brothers of Watervliet.
Mase, 6, and Preston, 10, were out bright and early shoveling neighbors’ and strangers’ driveways. In fact, they wanted to start at 6:30 a.m., but their father, Joey Lockrow, made them wait until 8 a.m.
The father says he grew up helping people. He currently works for his uncle’s business, Davco Masonry. It looks like he has passed that work ethic to his sons.
The boys did most of the work just to help their neighbors. They said it wasn’t about earning money.
Even with all the hard work, the boys say they still had time for a snowball fight, and that this kind of snow is good packing snow.
