Family, friends, and community members in Watervliet came together to remember Darrell Willetts, the man who police say was stabbed to death by his neighbor.

The stabbing happened on 6th Street Sunday afternoon.

Police say Willetts got into a fight with his neighbor before he was stabbed.

The suspect, 24-year-old Martin Bassett, is now charged with manslaughter.

We were told that charge will be upgraded to second-degree murder.

Darrell’s loved ones held a candlelight vigil in front of the house where he died.
