Watervliet man gets 15 years in prison for drug trafficking in Greene County

A Watervliet man was sentenced on Friday to 15 years in prison for distributing large quantities of narcotics throughout Greene County.

Dwayne Brown, 40, was arrested after a lengthy investigation, which included home surveillance, undercover operations and special authorization by an appellate judge to permit wire taps on Brown’s phone, according to a news release from the Greene County District Attorney’s Office.

Brown was convicted on Sept. 1 of two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. This is his fourth drug-related conviction.

He also must serve 5 years of post-release supervision after his release from prison.
