Watervliet mother accused of trying to kill infant son skips court again

The Watervliet mother accused of trying to kill her 10-month-old son was supposed to be sentenced this morning in Albany County Court, but the court clerk says she didn’t show up, again.

Samantha Valentine was arrested in October 2021 and charged with attempted murder, after police say Valentine violently threw her child across the room several times over a period of four days.

The baby had bleeding in his brain and was treated at Albany Medical Center after the incident.
A bench warrant is now out for her arrest.
