Watervliet offers money to buy back guns at event Saturday
New York State Attorney General Letitia James hosted a gun buyback in the Capital Region.
It was in Watervliet, at the Watervliet dome on Second Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Watervliet, Cohoes, Colonie, Green Island, and Menands police departments were all involved.
The attorney general’s office gave out prepaid gift cards for any guns turned in.
This is part of the attorney general’s effort to hold nine gun buyback events across the state Saturday.
