Well-known Capital Region musician Bobby Dick dies at 76

The Capital Region music scene lost an icon this week.

Bobby Dick passed away on Monday. He was 76.

In the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, Dick was the enthusiastic front man of Bobby Dick and the Sundowners.

They opened for The Rolling Stones, The Who, Tina Turner and The Monkees.

He performed in recent years with his wife, Susan. Dick died at his home in Moreau.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, April 3, 3 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church in South Glens Falls.
