Wendy’s pulling lettuce from menu due to outbreak

The popular fast food chain Wendy’s is pulling an item off some of its menus because of a possible link to an E.coli outbreak that’s already sickened dozens of people.

The CDC reports that 37 people have become sick in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan since late July with 10 people hospitalized.

Authorities are still searching for the cause of the outbreak but the CDC reports that most recall eating at a Wendy’s restaurant before getting sick, many specifically having a sandwich with romaine lettuce.

The fast food chain is now removing the lettuce from the menu as a precaution.

E.coli symptoms include diarrhea and a fever above 102 degrees, dehydration, and vomiting.
