West Nile Virus found in Pittsfield mosquito samples

West Nile Virus has been found in Pittsfield.

The virus was found in a sample collected at the Pittsfield Municipal Airport, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

There are no confirmed human cases of West Nile virus at this time, they said.

People are encouraged to wear long pants and clothes, use mosquito repellent and remove standing water.
