Westerlo man accused of pistol whipping sister

A Westerlo man is accused of pistol whipping and threatening to shoot his sister. Albany County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on County Route 403 on Thursday around 9:15 p.m. for a woman reporting that her brother, 30-year-old Dylan R. LaFave, struck her in the head with a weapon. He also threatened to shoot her in the presence of her 18-month-old child, police said.

Albany County sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on County Route 403 on Thursday around 9:15 p.m.

A woman reported that her brother, Dylan R. LaFave, 30, struck her in the head with a weapon. He also threatened to shoot her in the presence of her 18-month-old child, police said.

Investigators found a loaded 9mm ghost gun that LaFave used, they said.

LaFave was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, assault, reckless endangerment, menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was scheduled to be arraigned in Westerlo Town Court on Friday.
