Wilton Town Board to vote on adding townhomes to Wilton Mall

The Wilton Town Board will be voting on a proposal to redevelop Wilton Mall to include apartments and town homes.

The Wilton Town Board will be voting on a proposal to redevelop Wilton Mall to include apartments and townhomes.

The proposal would include adding a new multifamily housing facility on the shopping center property.
It’s part of an effort to revamp the property from a strictly retail space to be more community centric.
A total of 382 new townhomes and apartments are proposed. If all goes to plan, developers hope to have apartments built and available by summer 2025.

This is one of many transformations in recent years at the mall. A fitness center and a grocery store moved into the mall in the 2000s, replacing some retail space.

A former Sears store is now a branch of Saratoga Hospital, and these new apartments would go in a former Bon Ton space.

The mall also still has some retail.

The Town Board meeting will take place at 7 p.m.
