Banner raised in Troy for sailor killed in action

The Uncle Sam Military Banner Committee put up a brand-new banner honoring the late veteran Francis Brown.

He was killed during the six-day war when the Israeli military says it accidentally attacked his ship.
Family and friends made sure his legacy lives on.

Tuesday we visited the Lansingburgh Veterans Club, honoring Quartermaster Three Francis Brown through the military banner committee of Troy – who put up his new banner.

Brown was killed on the USS Liberty Third in the 6-day war in 1967 June 8.

34 were killed and 171 were wounded as Israel attacked an American ship.
