Blood drive honors two men fondly remembered by Glens Falls community
A blood drive took place Wednesday at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls in memory of two men who left a lasting legacy in the community.
Ken Hand and Dave Strader died because of bile duct cancer. Hand was an army helicopter pilot and Strader was an NHL broadcaster. The press box at the arena is named after Strader.
The blood drive commemorates the inspiring lives they led and raises awareness about bile duct cancer.
