More than 50 students and teachers from Brooklyn got a chance to visit a dairy farm in Kinderhook.

October is National Farm to School Month, and Saturday, Oct. 12 is National Farmers Day.

The tour at Wil-Roc Farms was coordinated by the American Dairy Association North East.
Some of the focus was to learn about where our food comes from, and discover how dairy farming plays into the students’ STEM education.

Students also got to view the latest technology, including automatic milking, cow pedometers and GPS-enabled tractors.
