Camp counselor in Moreau uses Heimlich to help save life

A camp counselor at Moreau Community Center helped saved a life.

Another counselor started choking on a cracker back on August 14.

Brandin performed the Heimlich and helped her breathe again.

Brandin, 18, has spent five years at the Moreau Community Center’s camp.

The camp runs six weeks with about 100 local kids enjoying activities outdoors.

Brandin will be a freshman at Miami University in Ohio this fall, but he will be back next summer to be a counselor once again, he said.
