Capital City Rescue Mission prepares for Easter dinner

Easter Sunday is April 9.

The first day of Easter dinner preparations at the Capital City Rescue Mission was Wednesday.

Executive Chef Max Ansong – along with a group of volunteers – are already hard at work preparing to cook 1,800 meals.

The menu includes smoked ham with a honey glaze, mashed potatoes, stuffing and yams.

There’s also cake and pumpkin pie for dessert.
