Cohoes firefighters celebrated at promotion ceremony

Two Cohoes natives received big promotions in the Cohoes Fire Department on Wednesday.

Newly promoted Capt. Brian Bullock first joined the Cohoes Fire Department more than 10 years ago in August 2013.

He has an associate’s degree in fire protection technology from Mohawk Valley Community College.

Newly promoted Lt. Dan Slaver joined the Cohoes Fire Department in 2015.

He had previously worked as an EMT and completed the paramedic program at SUNY Cobleskill.

Congratulations to them both.
