Cohoes woman becomes top enlisted leader of 109th Airlift Wing

A Cohoes woman is now the top enlisted leader in the New York National Guard’s 109th Airlift Wing in Scotia.
Command Chief Master Sergeant Karolyn DeVito now serves as the key enlisted advisor to the wing commander, Colonel Christian Sander.
DeVito joined the 109th Airlift Wing in 1997. She has been deployed all over the world since then, including Kuwait, Greenland, and even Antarctica.
She also helped with the federal response to Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Irene.
