Families invited to reading program at Pittsfield library

Families with young children are invited to join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield’s Public Library.

The program is designed to encourage regular reading habits in children. The launch party will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 10:30 a.m. to noon for families with children up to age 5. The free event will feature singing, playing and music with musician Emilia Dahlin. There will also be crafts and refreshments.
