Go for gold event raises about $1,500
More than 4,000 athletes are getting support from the Watervliet Police Department.

Watervliet Police say they raised nearly $1,500 during the go for gold event.
The event took place last Friday and works to support the cost of athletic training and future competitions.
The money raised during the event will help thousands of local athletes.
