Great New York State Fair butter sculpting begins
It’s that time of year again – the great New York State Fair opens next Wednesday.

And you know what that means.
It’s time to build the 55th annual butter sculpture.
800 pounds of butter have arrived at the fairgrounds.
Over the weekend, sculptors Jim Victor and Marie Pelton started to create the annual sculpture, a process that will take about 11 days to complete.
The sculpture will be unveiled on Tuesday, August 22.
