Guilderland banners honor ‘Hometown Heroes’

Guilderland is continuing to honor those who served.

The town held its sixth annual “Hometown Heroes” banner program on Friday.

There was a dedication ceremony at Tawasentha Park in Guilderland on Friday morning.

The hero banners are sponsored by friends, family, local businesses and other community organizations.

There are eight new banners this year, which were sponsored by the American Legion, the Fort Hunter Fire Department and several Guilderland families.
