People can win a romantic getaway and help a good cause by decorating their house in holiday lights.

A house lighting contest is coming to Saratoga Springs. Residents are invited to register by donating $100 to the Shelters of Saratoga. Competitors will light their homes for a chance to win one of three prizes.

First prize is a one-night stay at Friends Lake Inn in the Adirondacks.

The decorated homes will be shared on Facebook on Dec. 12. People can vote for their favorite house until Jan. 5. The winners will be announced on Jan. 6.
