Troy is introducing its new “Pitch In” program. It invites residents, businesses, and community groups to “adopt” an alleyway, gateway, neighborhood or waterfront site.

“Adopting” streets, alleyways and gateways will encourage residents and businesses to keep that area clean, whether it be planting a flower bed or picking up garbage.

That will build pride throughout the city, according to a statement from Mayor Carmella Mantello.
