Saratoga Springs poet laureate awarded

Saratoga Springs poet laureate has been selected as a recipient of the fellowship award.

Joseph Bruchac is 1 of 23 poets in the country selected for the annual award.
Each winner is given $50,000 for their commitment to poetry.
The prize is awarded by the Academy of American Poets.
He looks forward to using the money to better carry out his role for the people of Saratoga Springs, Bruchac said.
