Fundraiser for Pittsfield woman battling breast cancer

There was a lot of love for a Pittsfield schools bus driver and mother of six – battling Stage 4 breast cancer. More than 200 people came out to a fundraiser at Tavern At The A on Crane Avenue in Pittsfield for Christine Delph. She was diagnosed in August 2021 – and recently found out the cancer has spread to other areas of her body. People at the fundraiser say Delph will do anything for anybody. Now it’s time to help her.

Man retiring after nearly 40 years of North Greenbush service

Congratulations to Frank Guiliano. After nearly four decades working with the town of North Greenbush, he’s retiring. Guiliano is in his early 90s. He’s had many roles with the town – including highway superintendent and support services. His family and friends threw him a big party to mark his retirement.

Troy Uniformed Firefighters Association bowling fundraiser

The Troy Uniformed Firefighters Association Local 86 had a great turnout for a bowling fundraiser. They met at Uncle Sam Lanes to raise money for the North Central Community Solidary Group – a nonprofit which works to bring positivity to the community.

Stride Adaptive Sports hosts fundraiser

Stride Adaptive Sports raised more than $83,000 for its ski and snowboard programs at its 100,000 Vertical Challenge Ski Race. It was held at Jiminy Peak in Berkshire County. A total of 54 people competed – raising money for 18 different sports and recreation programs for people with disabilities.

Paying off school lunch debt in Schalmont

An upcoming fundraiser will help students in Schalmont pay off school lunch debt. The fundraiser is Saturday, March 11 at Knotty Pine House in Rotterdam Junction.  All money donated will go directly to the Schalmont Central School District to help students pay for school lunches.
