KeyBank employees volunteer in community
KeyBank is making a difference in the Capital Region. More than 250 teammates spent time Tuesday volunteering with community organizations at more than 40 service projects in our area. Dake Foundation raises $180k for kids with disabilities
The Dake Foundation for Children has raised more than $180,000 to support local children with disabilities. The foundation’s annual Child’s Play fundraiser was held last month. The first recipient of the foundation’s community grant program will be the Saratoga Springs Children’s Museum. It will receive up to $25,000 towards building an inclusive playground.
Life jacket loaner station on Great Sacandaga Lake
A new life jacket loaner station is up and running at the Black River Regulating District’s field office on Great Sacandaga Lake. It allows families who need life jackets – particularly for young kids – to have easy access at no cost. This can cut down on people heading out onto the water in their boats without the necessary number or sizes of life jackets.
Summer in Ballston Spa
The village of Ballston Spa is in summer mode. The village’s farmers market is back for the summer, and its fifth annual Birdhouse Festival was held last weekend. The village’s streets, parks and businesses proudly displayed around 1,000 birdhouses built and designed by students and others across the Capital Region.
