Skidmore summer series

Skidmore College announced its lineup for its summer series. The events kick off June 27, with the John and Gerald Clayton Quartet in Arthur Zankel Music Hall. Other musical acts are lined up to perform at SPAC and Café Lena this summer.

Kids learn about farm animals

Children from A Child’s Place Day Care at Unity House in Albany have been learning about farm animals in class. To further enhance their learning experience, a petting zoo will be brought to them. The animals are set to visit next week.

Special Olympics torch

Law enforcement members are running and carrying a torch for the Special Olympics, in Washington, Saratoga and Warren counties. More than 30 members of local law enforcement and Special Olympics athletes are scheduled to participate. The torch run raises money and awareness for Special Olympics New York.
