Two Capital Region students among nominees for U.S. Presidential Scholars program

The New York State Department of Education has announced the nominees for the 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Two of those lucky students are from the Capital Region.

This year, Shae Fontaine from Cohoes High School and Krizza Santander from Gloversville High School are among the nominees.

Twenty-five New York state high school students received this honor.

It’s awarded to students who represent excellence in education and the promise of greatness in young people.
