Specially made care bags are being used to help some of the youngest patients and their families at Albany Medical Center.

These bags are going to kids born with heart issues who need surgeries within the first months and years of their young lives.

The bags include blankets, cardiac pillows, books, gift cards for food, and hospital parking passes for mom and dad.

The program was created by Cardiac Kids 518 – a local branch of the American Heart Association.
