Drinking enough water important for weight loss, overall health
Drinking water vital for overall health
If people start dieting in the new year, they need to make sure they are drinking enough water.
Drinking water doesn’t only help with weight loss, but it is vital for our overall health.
Requirements for fluid and hydration are based on our gender, activity level, age and even the environment in which we live, according to dietitians.
Kristin Kirkpatrick of the Cleveland Clinic recommends other ways besides drinking water to get enough fluids – like soup, decaffeinated coffee, herbal tea and foods rich in water.
To help stay hydrated, it’s good practice to carry a water bottle wherever you go.
