Many parents are reporting trouble finding Children’s Tylenol, Motrin, and other fever-reducing medications in stores and online.
However, is there an actual shortage of the medications? The answer is a bit complicated.
The FDA shares information online about drug shortages reported to the agency.
It is not currently reporting any shortages of Children’s Tylenol or its generic name of acetaminophen, and there are no reports of Motrin – or its generic name ibuprofen.
So what does that mean? Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson says in a recent interview that there is just a lot of demand.
