Hochul urging New Yorkers to watch for signs of heat stroke

Gov. Kathy Hochul is urging New Yorkers to be careful in this excessive heat.

The main thing to watch out for are the warning signs of heat stroke.

Some of the symptoms include hot, dry, red skin, a rapid pulse when doing strenuous activities, quick, shallow breathing when moving around a lot, and a loss of alertness or sudden confusion while working.

If you are out in the heat and notice these symptoms, go inside immediately and contact consult a health professional.
