With the new year underway, now is a good time for parents to check with their pediatrician about childhood immunizations.
Statistics show there’s been an overall decline of vaccines administered in recent years — and the pandemic is partially to blame.
The Cleveland Clinic children’s hospital says childhood immunizations are proven to be safe. they add that not giving your child the necessary vaccines not only put them at risk for infection — it may also prove life threatening.

Additionally, diseases like the measles and mumps — largely dormant thanks to immunizations, may resurface.
Their best advice for parents is to be mindful of where they are getting medical information, and to trust reliable resources.
